John Stoner served for just over 10 years in the U.S. Army as a SIGINT analyst, receiving an honorable discharge in 2010. He has over 21 years of experience in the national security, intelligence industry, and defense sector in a variety of roles, with 11 focused in cybersecurity. He has worked as a cyber threat intelligence analyst, cyber counterintelligence analyst, chief of analytics, deputy director and as a cyber instructor among other roles. He holds A+, Net+, CEH, CHFI, CEI, CISD, CASP, FITSP-M-NG and CISSP certifications. He also has a Computer Studies Associates degree from UMUC. He enjoys giving back to the community and routinely volunteers at career villages and is active in VetSec, The Diana Initiative, and WiCyS groups. In the last two years, he realized mentoring, resume reviews, and providing career advice is something important he can assist with, a way to help others.
